Jacopo is known for his Italian accent, as he shouts to the fish, “in da boat!” He started off the season fishing in two different series with two different outcomes.
Jacopo was sitting 7th AOY standing in the MLF Toyota Series Central division with a check in his pocket in every tournament. He started very strong with a Top 5 on the Lake Okeechobee MLF Tacklewarehouse Invitationals, but fell on the AOY leaderboard to 27th place. Jacopo said, “it’s not too bad to be honest, but just needed a little more luck”!
Jacopo didn’t win at the Potomac Rivers last week as he did in 2021. But he redeemed himself to win the Phoenix Boats Shenandoah Division at the James River last week.
