Lift Assist Booster # L A B (trolling motor lift assist)

Item # L A B (Lift Assist Booster)  This product will make deploying and retrieving your trolling motor so much easier.  The components consist of Two (2) 40 lb Gas Spring Lifts, Aluminum Bottom Spring Holding Bracket, Aluminum Top Spring Holding Bracket, Black Polyethylene 25″ x 5-3/4″ x 1/4″  Base Plate and Trolling Motor Ramp, to fit a 45″ shaft trolling motor.  The Base Plate and Trolling Motor Ramp for a 52″ or 60″ shaft Trolling Motor is 28″ x 5-3/4″ x 1/4″ and the cost is $35.00 more.

The Lift Assist Booster works well on Minnkota Fortrex and Ultrex 45″, 52″ and 60″ trolling motor shaft length.  When ordering for the longer 52″ and 60″ shaft trolling motors the price increases by $35.00

Note 1:  the Lift Assist Booster is NOT suitable for Power Drive Trolling Motors because the deck mounting bracket is different.

Note 2:   Approximately 1-1/2″ clearance is needed between the bow panel shroud and trolling motor bracket.  If there is less than 1-1/2″ clearance, we offer a “Riser Kit” to overcome this problem.  A Riser Kit is an additional $99.95 and consists of 3 or 4 Polyethylene 1/2″  boards which will sit and be spaced out under the lift assist board.  The number of pieces will be determined by the trolling motor shaft length. 

The Main Purpose of the Lift Assist Booster – some trolling motors are really heavy to retrieve when fishing, particularly Minnkota Ultrex and Fortrex.    Lift Assist Booster will do just as the name says – gives a boost and makes lifting the trolling motor out of the water almost effortless.  This is especially true since more accessories are being attached to the trolling motor these days.

All of the components improve the working mechanism of the trolling motor brackets.  The polyethylene base bracket features a cut out, on the underside, to accommodate the tie down strap and lift assist bottom spring holding bracket.  The poly bracket is secured by two 1/4″ bolts on the trolling motor bracket onto the boat deck.  This feature keeps the trolling motor bracket level on the deck and improves the locking mechanism and eliminates “stiff” unlocking.  It’s a breeze to lift the trolling motor when suddenly in shallow water and the lift cord will last longer too.

The trolling motor ramp is secured to the Lift Assist Booster poly base board, giving it extra strength and support, especially when the trolling motor comes in contact with docks and the trailer bow roller.

The Lift Assist Booster comes standard with two 40 lb gas spring lifts. The spring lifts keep the trolling motor properly centered which helps to minimize any rattling vibration of the trolling motor bracket mechanism, because the spring lifts absorb the slack on the trolling motor mechanism.
