The Wedge is built in black polyethylene starboard material, aluminum black powder coated bracket and stainless steel hardware. Now available to fit Garmin Force, Lowrance Ghost, Minnkota Fortrex and Ultrex or Motorguide Pro trolling motor. The trolling motor shallow water bracket is used to hold the trolling motor in an UP position for “shallow water” fishing.

The purpose of “The Wedge” (shallow water bracket) is to: 1. Raise and support the trolling motor top bracket for shallow water fishing. 2. It eliminates the use of “water bottles, throw cushions, blocks of wood and you name it” to hold the trolling motor in place while shallow water fishing. 3. It eliminates having to adjust the height of the shaft, especially when Garmin Panoptix or Humminbird 360 units are mounted on the trolling motor bracket. Why? Because the propeller will be in the way of the transducer.

The standard upright raises and holds the trolling motor up to 8+ inches.

The Wedge can be placed in the down position inside the trolling motor deck bracket when moving to your next fishing spot and with a quick lift and lock in place, you’re ready to fish again.

The Wedge does not need to be removed when stowing the trolling motor to lock in place. The Wedge MUST be removed when deploying the trolling motor for normal operation.

Item # LB-CMC-5.5/8 designed to fit CMC PowerLift jack plates. The L Bracket is built in High Quality Aluminum Alloy, Black Powder Coated, includes stainless steel hardware and easy Do-It Yourself written instructions and diagram. CMC Jack Plate installation is nearly always Drill & Tap. If you don’t think you can do this job, take it to someone who can. The L Bracket is designed to put the Transducer Shield and transducer at the correct angle when the boat is in the water.

CMC jack plates are ridged or flat and have large bolt heads protruding out from the jack plate surface. This is why the L Bracket should include 1″ or 1.5″ spacers. Depending on the jack plate (usually manual) height position, the ratchet bolt might hang below the bottom of the jack plate If this applies to your jack plate, it may be necessary to lower the transducer to avoid side signal interference. To do this, simply add an EXTENSION between the L Bracket and Transducer Shield.

A transducer cannot be attached to any of our L Brackets without a Transducer Shield®. When placing your order for this product, please remember to choose the appropriate Transducer Shield® to match your transducer.

To avoid a delay in shipping your order, please complete the questionnaire. The more information you provide the better we can assist you.

IMPORTANT: On Skeeter ZX or FX boats, the hull turning chines interfere with the side viewing signal. To help correct this problem it is necessary to add an extension between the L Bracket and Transducer Shield®. Please remember to add an Extension to your order. Click on Extensions to add an extension to your order.

Typically, a “Side Image” transducer attached to an L Bracket on the side of a jack plate will not track the bottom when the boat is up on plane. To track the bottom when up on plane, an “in hull” transducer is recommended.

Item # EXT-1.5 is built-in High-Quality Aluminum Alloy and Black Powder Coated. It is pre-drilled to match the hole pattern on our L. Brackets and Transducer Shields for easy install. An extension is necessary on most Skeeter ZX model boats to lower the level of the transducer so that the transducer side signal clears the hull sponsons and/or turning chines.

An extension is also required on some Jack Plates that were installed on Bass Cat boats. Reason: the jack plate is longer and installed with 6 bolts to the transom rather than 4 bolts. When placing an order for an extension, please remember to order a Transducer Shield® and L. Bracket to suit your transducer and jack plate.
